On October 3, 2022, Radio Cairo International completed 69 years of history, promoting the integration of peoples and nations, broadcasting in 23 languages in 70 countries.

Radio Cairo International will present exclusive official coverage of the upcoming United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference, COP27, to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, the City of Peace, Egypt, from November 6-8. 2022, where you will have the opportunity to experience a memorable and historic meeting with representatives of governments and civil society from all over the planet to decide on the actions and socio-environmental responsibilities of present and future generations.

Also in November, Egyptian radio station Radio Cairo International will also cover two historic events: the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun and the 200th anniversary of the discovery of the Rosetta Stone. It is a great honour to produce this special programming that expresses symbolism of universal significance to all of humanity.

Radio Cairo International welcomes and thanks in advance the attention of our listeners and all participants and the people of Egypt for supporting the broadcast of the official coverage of the upcoming United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference, COP27.

Radio Cairo International, founded on October 3, 1953, has been broadcast in 23 languages in 70 countries on four continents for 69 years; Radio Cairo National created on May 31, 1934, has been broadcast for 88 years in Arabic, making it one of the oldest radio services in the world.

Radio Cairo’s Portuguese-language service “Programa Brasileiro” was launched in 1953, targeting Portuguese-speaking areas of Latin America, particularly Brazil. The objective of the Brazilian program is to increase relations between the Brazilian and Egyptian peoples, in the economic and cultural field, and the knowledge of Portuguese-speaking listeners about Egyptian culture and civilization. The virtual programs broadcast by Radio Cairo are: news, songs, political commentary, culture, sport, tourism, religion, among others.

Our station broadcasts daily from 7:15 p.m. (Brazilian time) – 12:15 a.m. (Egyptian time) until 8:30 p.m. (Brazilian time) – 1:30 a.m. (Egyptian time) on the frequency 9,545 Khz – 31 meters.
